Pebbles has been full of festive activities this week as we have enjoyed the run up to Christmas.
We have used wrapping paper and Christmas shopping bags to support our role play as we went shopping, made Play dough trees with pipe cleaners and pom-poms and have also thinking about our own stockings which we have painted and cut out pictures of toys to stick on them. Christmas activities have definitely been working our fine motor skills this week!
Some of the Pebbles got messy with oats and dried fruit making reindeer food for tonight's Christmas Market which we are looking forward to selling. We are so good now at listening, turn taking and supporting each other independently, the adults are very proud of how far we have developed this term.
As the week drew to a close, Christmas got tasty as we decorated an ice cream cone Christmas tree with icing and sprinkles, as well as enjoying Christmas dinner complete with hats and crackers. I'm sure you can see from our concentration and faces just how exciting all these activities have been. When we needed some quiet time, we have listened and talked about stories together on the carpet. We have read together many books including 'Santa needs a wee', 'Santa's suit' and 'Twas the night before Christmas'.
We are looking forward to more fun next week and our Christmas Party on Tuesday morning!
Please remember there is NO afternoon session or lunch club on Wednesday 18th as we finish Term 2 at 12pm.
Have a lovely weekend :)
