Today was all about BBC Children in Need and Pudsey Bear.
We wore bright colours to join in the a White Cliffs Primary College rainbow, and we hope you agree it looks amazing! Along with thinking about why we were raising money, we have collaged our very own Pudsey pictures and decorated a spotty cake to take home. Pebbles also had a special surprise as Mrs Pallett dressed up as our very own Pudsey!
The rest of the week was continuing our ‘Once upon a time’ theme as we looked at dragons and princesses. We have moved like dragons, roared like dragons and read books with our grown ups such as ‘Zog’. Our creative skills were tested making dragons with the googly eyes out of play dough, whilst the princesses amongst us welcomed another surprise from Mrs Fotheringham into our role play castle - our very own vanity table. Everybody has thoroughly enjoyed being imaginative and pampering one another like a prince or princess. This addition has really supported our friendship building and turn taking as well.
During circle time this week we passed around another bear - Pooh Bear, as we took turns to tell everyone something which made us happy or scared. Our listening and attention skills are increasing each time we do this, as well as our vocabulary and sentence length. Next week to build upon our stories from this week, we are going to attempt imagining, telling and scribing our own fantasy stories....
