Welcome back to the start of Term 2! It was wonderful to see Pebbles return and to say 'hello' to a couple of new faces in Nursery.
First of all we would like to say a HUGE 'Thankyou' to those of you returned your 'Scavenger Hunt' bags - not only did it look like you had plenty of Autumnal exploratory walks over half term, but your treasures have provided us with so many opportunities for learning this week.
We have sorted our items - discussing quantities, textures, size and colour. We have created prickly leaf hedgehogs, some of which are on our display board and we have used cotton buds to paint leaves and squirrels developing our fine motor skills.
Naomi took some of the children on an Autumn listening hunt, where we listened for the crunchy sounds of leaves and took our pencils and checklists to tick off any Autumn changes we could see in the outside environment. Other Pebbles have squished and pressed conkers and pine cones into play dough, or looked at information books to match pictures of the items that they have found.
Next week continues to be busy as we discover all about Guy Fawkes, and create our own fireworks!
Have a great weekend :)
