An amazing start to Term 1!

Pebbles have had the most amazing beginning to our new year. We have welcomed back old and new friends, and everyone has settled beautifully. The Nursery has benefited from a brand new floor - visit our ‘take a tour’ page to see - it makes cleaning so much easier, which has been very important over the last few months! As Pebbles have settled, the adults have been immensely proud of their understanding to keep their distance when required and their knowledge of hand washing. Sanitising and washing forms very much a large part of our day to day routine and practice within Pebbles, with all children coping remarkably well.  Whilst welcoming everyone back, the children have enjoyed exploring the inside and outside classrooms - they have used their fine and gross motor skills to manipulate toys, and used creative language whilst getting messy in sensory flour or foam. Mrs Pallett has taken all their photos, and Pebbles are trying hard to recognise their pictures and their name cards. Last week we created our very own self portraits using natural materials for Art Week which helped us to think of similarities and differences amongst our group.  Once settled, our focus is gradually moving now to counting and building upon literacy. Our attention skills for stories and rhymes are increasing along with our turn taking. Hopefully all parents are finding seesaw a beneficial way to stay in touch and join in their child’s learning and development. We thank you all for your continued support and co operation during Covid. Please explore our new website and let us know your thoughts! Our learning and play so far is below, please enjoy looking through. Lisa, Mrs Pallett, Naomi and Char

A Message to Our Wonderful Children and Families

To all our wonderful children and families, We want you to know that all the teachers and staff from Pebbles Nursery and White Cliffs Primary College for the Arts are missing you all very much.  I can’t believe that we have not been together for nearly five whole weeks and it is likely that we will not see you for a few more weeks. What is important is that everyone of us stays safe and well so that when we return to school we can enjoy seeing each other again. I know that you have been working hard at home because I have seen some of the lovely photographs, messages and even dances that you send to your teachers through email and Seesaw.  Please keep sending the messages to us as it brings a smile to our faces and sunshine to our days. While we are away from school, the teachers have been working really hard as well.  They have been doing lots of training online, writing your reports and getting planning ready for next year.  They have also been practising their Art skills and Miss Lowe has put together all their pictures in a little presentation from the teachers to all of you.  We hope you enjoy watching it and we look forward to seeing your rainbows. Please visit:  to see the presentation. We miss you all so much and look forward to seeing you again soon. Stay safe and well. Kind regards, Mrs Fotheringham  Please note that the video is the property of White Cliffs Primary College for the Arts and Pebbles Nursery and must not be shared or uploaded onto any social media platforms or other websites.
